About The Wine
Grapes grown in Robertsvlei Valley outside Franschhoek and carefully hand picked at optimum ripeness in the early morning. Gently pressed and fermented in open fermenter where grapes were manually punched down 6 times a day until dry to ensure good colour and tannin extraction. Matured for 18 mths in French barrels following malolactic fermentation to bring extra depth to the wines.
Tasting Note
Deep ruby colour, full-bodied that shows vibrant blackberry fruit and subtle oak flavor. Spicy, white pepper and smoky aromas with flavorful complex finish. Ready to drink now or aging up to 9 years. Excellent accompaniment to roast meats, stews and steaks.
