GlenWood Farm is a small boutique winery which produces tiny volumes of top quality wines in Robertsvlei Valley, a few kilometers outside of Franschhoek. With its unique terroir being in a small deep valley, coupled with cool conditions throughout the growing season preceded high temperatures in the ripening phase, all GlenWood wines are more full-bodied, with smooth tannins, highly concentrated flavours and excellent demonstration of oak and fruit integration.

DP Burger, the winemaker, is a premium wine producer and proud owner of a number of 4 ½ star Platter wines. Their wines and vineyards have attracted numerous awards and accolades over the last 20 years of wine-making history, especially its Shiraz and Chardonnay being placed tops in South Africa.



Kleine Draken

Zandwijk in Southern Paarl, home of Kleine Draken wines, is one of the country's foremost producers of kosher wine. The original farm dates back to 1693 when a Dutch farmer, Willem van Wÿk, took possession of the property situated on the southeastern slopes of Paarl Mountain.

Nestled on the South Eastern slopes of Paarl mountain, the vineyard enjoys a superior terroir, which contributes towards captivating the delicacy and complexity of both red and white grape cultivars alike.

Kleine Draken's Vin Doux Sweet Sparkling is the first kosher sparkling wine in South Africa. Together with Natural Sweet White, Kleine Draken was being selected as one of the most exciting sparkling and white wine from a boutique winery in Paarl.



Lynx Wine Estate

understated sophistication

Lynes Estate Wines is a small boutique winery situated just outside of Franschhoek in the Western Cape. The first wines were produced in 2003 and they immediately won acclaim when Shiraz was awarded 4½ stars in the John Platter guide. Since then their wines have continued to perform well winning numerous gold awards, with its Shiraz and Viognier come tops in South Africa and Cabernet Sauvignon and Xanache (a Bordeaux style blend of Cab Sauv., Merlot and Cab Franc) awarded 4 stars respectively.

Dieter Sellmeyer, the owner and winemaker, is a big believer in the old cliché 'a good wine starts in the vineyard' and much effort is put into ensuring small, concentrated berries with uniform ripening. Lynx wines show full-bodied, smooth tannin structure. The fruit concentration and complex structure are admirable.



Luigi Tacchino

take care of wine as if it were a child

For more than three generations the Tacchino family has inherited the passion for their land to produce superb fresh and modern wines in Castelletto d'Orba in Monferrato in Piedmonte. This is perfect wine country, where the hills of Monferrato provide a natural amphitheater which protects the vineyards from the northerly winds from the Alps and allows maximum ripeness to the grapes. Together with the low production per hectare and the loving care given to the vines and grapes all combined to make their wines to be excellent in quality.

The wines are all made without extensive use of oak to retain freshness and allow maximum expression of the fruit. Their Gavi di Gavi, Dolcetto d' Ovada and Barbera del Monferrato are still the most precious wines they produce in that region.


La Ciarliana

At 350 metres above sea level La Ciarliana wine estate nestled in the heart of the ancient poliziano hills to the east of Montalcino. This area is centuries old where people started producing wines since Etruscan times. The farm now belongs to Luigi Frangiosa, who inherited the land from his Grandfather. The vineyard is dedicated to the production of Vino Nobile of Montepulciano, some have described the wine as the two prestigious wines combined : Chianti Classico's perfume married with Brunello di Montalcino's richness.

The vineyards with a density of 5,000 vines per hectare, have been planted following a careful geological and clonal study, and the careful selection of grapes all combine to give La Ciarliana's wines remarkable structure and body, along with classical flavors of dark cherry and rich plum aromas.



Rickety Bridge

Rickety Bridge is an historic Franschhoek wine estate situated in renowned Franschhoek valley. The farm dates back to 1694 when the first French Huguenots settled in the area. Rickety Bridge was originally part of La Provence farm, one of the first seven French Huguenot farms in Franschhoek. In 1797,the land was granted to the widow, Paulina De Villiers. Since then, the land has changed hands a number of times and in the 1980's it became known as Rickety Bridge.

Rickety Bridge wine is exceptionally youthful and expressive. It has received multiple awards for its wines, in particular its Paulina's Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon, Paulina's Reserve Sauvignon Blanc, Rickety Bridge Pinotage and the Rhone-style blend The Foundation Stone.
